The Dreamers: Aquí y Allá is a devised theatre piece Andrea created in collaboration with the California-Mexico Studies Center. Andrea traveled to Mexico with CSULB Theatre Arts students to interview a group of DACA students who were given permission through advance parole to return to their homeland, a permission that was revoked for a time (during the previous administration) soon after this trip. The play follows these young Dreamers but also incorporates interviews from U.S. Congressman Alan Lowenthal, an immigration rights attorney, a border patrol agent, and more.
